1. Acceptance of Terms

 

By accepting a quote, booking our services, or allowing us to commence work, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

 

 

 

2. Quotes & Pricing

 

All quotes are based on the information provided at the time of booking.

 

Final charges may vary if:

 

Access conditions differ from what was described

 

Additional items are added on the day

 

Stair access, lift access, or long carry distances were not disclosed

 

Heavy or specialty items were not declared

 

Delays occur outside our control

 

 

Hourly bookings are charged from arrival at the pickup location until completion of unloading.

 

Minimum booking times may apply.

 

 

3. Customer Responsibilities

 

To ensure a smooth move, customers must:

 

Provide accurate details regarding:

 

Pickup and drop-off addresses

 

Property size

 

Stair access

 

Lift access

 

Parking availability

 

Special or heavy items (pianos, pool tables, marble/concrete tables, safes, etc.)

 

 

Ensure safe and clear access at both locations

 

Arrange suitable parking where possible

 

Ensure all items are securely packed unless packing services are booked

 

 

Failure to disclose relevant details may result in additional charges or refusal to move certain items for safety reasons.

 

 

 

4. Access, Delays & Waiting Time

 

Additional charges may apply where:

 

There is no suitable parking close to the property

 

Excessive stairs are involved

 

Lifts are unavailable or restricted

 

Keys are not available at delivery

 

We are required to wait beyond a reasonable time

 

 

We are not responsible for delays caused by traffic, weather, building management restrictions, or circumstances outside our control.

 

 

 

 

5. Special & Heavy Items

 

Special items must be declared prior to the move, including but not limited to:

 

Pianos

 

Pool tables

 

Marble, stone, or concrete furniture

 

Safes

 

Large glass panels

 

Antiques

 

 

We reserve the right to refuse to move items that were not disclosed in advance or are unsafe to transport.

 

 

 

6. Damage & Liability

 

We take reasonable care during all moves.

 

However, we are not liable for:

 

Pre-existing damage

 

Items not packed by us that are inadequately packed

 

Structural failure of flat-pack or particleboard furniture

 

Mechanical or internal damage to appliances

 

Items unsuitable for transport

 

 

Any damage claims must be submitted in writing within 48 hours of completion.

 

Our liability is limited to the extent permitted under Australian Consumer Law.

 

Customers are encouraged to arrange comprehensive transit insurance for high-value goods.

 

 

 

7. Insurance

 

We maintain public liability insurance.

 

 

 

 

8. Payment Terms

 

Payment is due upon completion of the move unless otherwise agreed.

 

We accept bank transfer.

 

We reserve the right to retain goods until payment is made in full, where permitted by law.

 

Late payments may incur recovery costs.

 

 

 

 

9. Cancellations & Rescheduling

 

Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a cancellation fee.

 

Deposits may be non-refundable depending on notice provided.

 

 

We understand plans can change and will work with customers where possible.

 

 

 

10. Refusal of Service

 

We reserve the right to refuse or cease work where:

 

The environment is unsafe

 

There is aggressive or inappropriate behaviour

 

Access conditions present unreasonable risk

 

Payment terms are not met

 

 

Safety of staff and customers is a priority.

 

 

 

11. Australian Consumer Law

 

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

 

 

 

12. Governing Law

 

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
